Optimize Fittings
Summary
The Optimize Fitting feature merges duct straights with connected fittings based on a user-defined tolerance.

IMPORTANT: Currently, this feature only works with the following rectangular fittings in the eVolve Origin database.
- CID #20 - Square Bend
- CID #17 - Radius Bend
- CID #02 - Transition
- CID #30 - Mitered Offset
- CID #09 - Radius Offset
- CID #13 - Tee
- CID #14 - Radius Tee
- CID #02 - Transition
Usage
- From the eVolve ribbon, in the Quick Tools panel, click Optimize Fitting.
- From the drawing area, select the desired fitting(s).
- From the Options Bar, click Finish.
- From the drawing area, select the desired straight(s).
NOTE: straight longer than the specified tolerance will not be highlighted/selectable. - From the Options Bar, click Finish. The select straight(s) are merged into the fitting(s).
Setting a tolerance
- From the eVolve ribbon, in the Quick Tools panel, click the Optimize Fitting menu and click Optimize Fitting Tolerance.
- From the Optimize Fitting Tolerance window, enter the desired value in the Tolerance dialog.
